Exciting Sports Festival of Vietnam National Shipping Lines XI in 2026 - Northern Region
Hai Phong - The 11th Vietnam National Shipping Lines Sports Festival in 2026 - Northern region was opened in Hai Phong City, morning of October 17.
The 11th Vietnam National Shipping Lines Sports Festival in 2026 is organized simultaneously in two areas: the North in Hai Phong City and the South in Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of nearly 1,200 athletes from all units with trade union organizations directly under the Corporation's Trade Union.
In which, the Northern regional sports festival takes place in 2 days, October 17 and 18 at Vietnam Maritime University with the participation of more than 600 athletes. Coming to the festival, athletes will compete in 6 sports: football, tennis, pickleball, table tennis, badminton, tug of war.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Mai Le Loi - Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Sports Festival emphasized that 30 years of construction and growth of the Trade Union of the Corporation is a journey of companionship with businesses and employees. Welcoming this milestone, the Trade Union of the Corporation organized a large-scale sports festival, showing the spread of the sports movement, the spirit of solidarity and the positive response of union members and employees throughout the Corporation. Thereby, spreading the culture of the Maritime people, of VIMC: discipline in work, dedication to tasks, creativity for improvement, consensus in coordination and integrity in action.
The Organizing Committee requests athletes to compete with a spirit of solidarity, honesty, discipline, determination and nobility; compete wholeheartedly, respect teammates, opponents and referees, and ensure safety. All officials, union members, and employees should bring the spirit of the Games back to work; turn determination on the field into determination to complete tasks; turn coordination between athletes into effective cooperation between collectives and units. Each person does their job better, each unit improves operational efficiency, and contributes to the development of businesses, VIMC, and the country in the new era.
