Nearly 200 workers trained in garden care techniques
Lam Dong - Nearly 200 workers are trained in garden care and pesticide use according to regulations.
On July 30, at Production Team 4 and Production Team 5, Economic - National Defense Team 726, Corps 16 (Lam Dong) in coordination with Dien Thong Agriculture Joint Stock Company organized training and seminars on technical procedures for garden care and use of pesticides.
The program has the participation of nearly 200 officials and workers who are directly working at the unit's production teams.
This is an activity jointly organized annually by the two units to update knowledge, scientific and technical advances in garden care, and at the same time improve professional qualifications and practical skills for workers.
At the training session, the speaker of Dien Thong Agriculture Joint Stock Company introduced how to identify common pests and diseases on crops; analyzed the causes of occurrence, the timing of treatment and appropriate prevention and control measures.
Workers are also guided on applying the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) process, techniques for balanced fertilization and using pesticides according to the "4 right" principle.
The contents on drug selection, preservation, mixing; use of labor protection equipment; handling when incidents occur and collecting packaging of pesticides after use are also specifically guided.
According to the organizing unit, complying with the procedure for using pesticides contributes to ensuring safety for workers, crops, agricultural products and the environment.
Within the framework of the program, speakers and officials and employees spent time exchanging difficulties and obstacles arising in the process of garden care.
Issues related to pest and disease identification, care techniques according to each stage of growth and plant protection drug selection are answered based on production conditions at each team.
Through training, workers consolidate knowledge, improve practical skills and proactively apply scientific and technical advances to production, contributing to improving the efficiency of garden care.
Mr. Vuong Duc Nhat - Head of the Central Highlands region, Dien Thong Agriculture Joint Stock Company said that through many years of coordination with Economic - National Defense Team 726, training programs have supported workers to access more knowledge and production techniques.
According to the plan, after the program at Production Team 4 and Production Team 5, the two units will continue to organize training at the remaining production teams.
