Lam Dong leaders commit to solving issues of concern to workers

Strive to achieve growth of 10% or more
On July 28, the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee organized a dialogue conference between provincial leaders and trade union officials, union members, and workers in 2026.

Providing information at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi said that in the first 6 months of 2026, although there were still many difficulties, the province's socio-economy continued to achieve many positive results.
The whole province has about 2,600 newly established businesses with a total registered capital of more than 12,000 billion VND, an increase of 80% in the number of businesses and 50% in capital compared to the same period.
However, some targets have not yet met requirements, especially the double-digit growth target, the disbursement progress of public investment capital and some budget revenues.

In the last months of the year, the province will focus on removing difficulties for businesses, accelerating project progress, improving the investment environment, and promoting digital transformation.
From there, develop growth pillars including industry, energy, high-tech agriculture and tourism, determined to achieve a growth rate of 10% or more.

According to Mr. Ho Van Muoi, the locality will continue to take care of the lives, jobs, income and regimes and policies for workers; and at the same time direct departments and branches to promptly resolve recommendations to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of workers, and build harmonious and stable labor relations.
Focus on solving issues of concern to workers
At the conference, trade union officials, union members and workers raised many recommendations related to the legitimate rights and interests of workers and the sustainable development of enterprises.

Opinions focused on 11 groups of issues, in which prominent are the situation of businesses being slow and evading social insurance contributions; developing social housing, worker housing; creating stable jobs, retraining workers over 35 years old and improving skills to meet the requirements of digital transformation.
Union members also proposed that the province have a mechanism to encourage businesses to increase wages, allowances, and meals; strengthen inspection of compliance with labor laws, social insurance, occupational safety and health, and food safety.

Many opinions suggested paying more attention to cultural institutions for workers, specific labor support policies and removing difficulties in trade union activities after implementing the two-level local government model.
Provincial Party Secretary Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam assessed that the recommendations are all practical, reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers and are the basis for Party committees and authorities to continue to direct and resolve.
According to the Provincial Party Secretary, the goal of economic growth of 10% or more, along with the requirement of digital transformation, science and technology development and innovation, requires building a team of workers with qualifications, skills, industrial style and ability to adapt to new requirements.

Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee requested Party committees and authorities at all levels to continue to improve mechanisms and policies, improve the investment environment, develop production, create jobs, and increase income for workers.
The Provincial Labor Federation needs to innovate its operating methods, take union members as the center, proactively grasp the grassroots situation, and promptly resolve arising difficulties.
For businesses, he proposed to fully implement regimes and policies according to regulations; improve working conditions, build a safe and civilized working environment for workers to stick with for a long time. At the same time, he called on trade union officials, union members and workers to continue to promote the movement "Good labor, creative labor", improve labor productivity and quality, contributing to the implementation of the growth and sustainable development goals of Lam Dong province.
