Workers return to work after the Lunar New Year 2025 at a high rate
After the Lunar New Year holiday in 2025, the production atmosphere has become vibrant again across factories and enterprises.
High rate of return to work
According to the report of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, the rate of workers and laborers returning to work on the first day after Tet is high. On the first working day (2/2025), at agencies, units and state-owned enterprises, nearly 99% of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers have returned to work.
In the non-state sector, the rate of workers returning to work is also high, following the production schedule announced by the enterprise in advance.

Specifically, the whole city of Ho Chi Minh City has 12,601 enterprises (units with trade unions) with 921,123 workers returning to work, reaching a rate of 85.33%. In export processing zones, industrial parks and high-tech zones, there are 157 enterprises with 45,736 workers, reaching a rate of 91.29%.
Some businesses have not yet resumed operations due to plans for a longer Tet holiday, expected to start production from February 5 to February 7.
Recorded in other localities
In Dong Nai, more than 85% of workers have returned to work, including some large enterprises with a very high rate of returning workers. For example, Pousung Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Bau Xeo Industrial Park, Trang Bom District, reached a rate of 91.6%, equivalent to 16,488/18,000 workers.
In Soc Trang, tens of thousands of workers have started work in a joyful and excited mood. Mr. Diep Son Dai, a worker at HS Vietnam Chemical Company Limited - Soc Trang Branch, shared: "On the first day at work, everyone was happy, hoping for a favorable year, many orders to have a more stable income".

In Binh Duong, more than 80% of workers have returned to the factory within two days of 3-4/2. According to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Binh Duong province, the number of enterprises and workers returning to work this year has increased by 3-4% compared to two years ago. Some enterprises have a rate of workers returning to work of 100%, such as Showa Gloves Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Kurabe Industrial Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Vietnam - Singapore industrial park.
Work to care for effective implementation
According to local assessments, this year, workers return to work on time to help businesses ensure production on schedule. The main reason is that the work of caring for the lives of union members and workers has been effectively implemented. Before, during and after Tet, trade unions at all levels have coordinated with enterprises to implement many support policies, such as bonuses, year-end lucky money, organizing free shuttle buses, helping workers feel secure to return to work.
Mr. Pham Huu Phuc, a worker in Dong Nai, shared: "The bustling atmosphere has filled all the factories, everyone hopes for a smooth year with a higher income to take care of their family".
In general, the return to work of workers after the Lunar New Year 2025 has reached a high rate, creating a good premise for businesses to stabilize production right from the first days of the year. This is a positive signal, contributing to promoting economic growth and ensuring a stable life for workers.
