Dong Nai deploys 7,200 more social housing units for workers

Giving 400 Tet gifts to policy families, poor households, and workers
On January 9, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Central Party Committee member and Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha visited and presented gifts on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 to policy families, poor households, workers and laborers in difficult circumstances in Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province.
Also attending the program were Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong, leaders of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, leaders of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor... On this occasion, the total number of gifts presented was 400 gifts, each gift worth 1.3 million VND (including 1 million VND in cash and a gift worth 300,000 VND).
Ms. Cao Thi Mong Linh - a worker at Cu Thanh Company Limited is one of hundreds of workers who have received gifts from the leaders of the Party, State and Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
When receiving the gift, Ms. Linh said that her family life was already facing many difficulties due to having to raise 3 young children. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, with the attention of the leaders of the Party and State, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, she felt very happy and warm.
Dong Nai soon completes the goal of building social housing for workers
Speaking at the visit and gift-giving ceremony, Central Party Committee member and Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha said that Dong Nai province is one of the leading localities in the transformation of industrialization and modernization, with a large number of workers, so the policy of caring for workers is a very important content.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha suggested and hoped that ministries, branches and Dong Nai province review and study policies to improve the spiritual life of the people. Dong Nai has many targets that need to be set higher than the whole country and need to be done better - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha suggested.
The Deputy Prime Minister also hopes that Dong Nai will soon complete the goal of building social housing for workers and laborers. As one of the areas with the most industrial parks in the country, Dong Nai needs to pay great attention to ensuring housing for workers, through allocating land funds for housing development for workers... "Focus on developing institutions and cultural activities to improve the spiritual life of the majority of young workers in the area. In 2024, Dong Nai province has completed and put into use nearly 1,700 social housing units, workers' housing units and is focusing on building more than 7,200 social housing units in 2025.
Trade unions at all levels in Dong Nai province plan to support about 150,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances and organize activities to visit, encourage, and give gifts to union members and workers, organize free transportation or support train, car, and plane tickets for union members and workers to return home to celebrate a warm and joyful Tet, bearing the union's mark. It is expected that over 700,000 union members and workers will be taken care of for Tet with a total cost of about 450 billion VND. Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor organizes the program "Tet Reunion Train - Spring 2025" to support 1,000 train tickets to bring union members and workers back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet and organizes the program "Union Tet Market 2025" from January 14-19, 2025 at Amata Square Park (Bien Hoa) with about 100 booths.
