These days, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation is urgently preparing activities to care for and give gifts to union members and workers, prioritize workers in difficult circumstances, workers with serious illnesses, work accidents, and those affected by employment...

According to Mr. Vu Ngoc Thuc - Deputy Head of the Trade Union of Hai Phong City Labor Federation - on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026, the City Labor Federation will support 20,000 cash gifts, worth 1 million VND/gift, with a total cost of 20 billion VND; give 49,444 bus tickets to workers far from home (a distance of 150km or more), each ticket worth 200,000 VND, with a total cost of 9,888,800,000 VND.

The City Labor Federation also directed the organization of the 2026 Party Addition and Spring Festival at all levels of the Trade Union. Accordingly, the city-level "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng 2026" program is scheduled to take place on the morning of January 29 at the Vietnam-C around Labor Friendship Cultural Palace. The grassroots trade union level coordinates with unit leaders and business owners to organize "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng 2026" before January 25, 2026; striving for 100% of grassroots trade unions to organize "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng 2026" with appropriate content and form. It is expected that 3,000 Tet gift bags will be presented to union members and employees attending the 2026 Tet Sum Vay program at all levels of the union, worth VND500,000/gift bag.

The total support budget of the City Labor Federation during the 2026 Lunar New Year is more than 50 billion VND. It is expected that the City People's Committee will support 11.8 billion VND to take care of Tet for union members and employees.

Ready for the Trade Union Tet market at both locations

Along with activities to care for Tet for union members, the City Labor Federation is ready for a large-scale Trade Union Tet Market, organized in both the East and the West.

The Director of the Center for Legal Advice and Employee Support of the City Labor Federation said that the Tet market in the Eastern region will take place for 5 days (from January 28 to February 1) at the Viet Tiep Friendship Labor Cultural Palace with nearly 200 participating booths. The Tet Market in the Western region will take place for 4 days (February 5-8) at the City Labor Consulting and Support Center, Facility 2 with a scale of nearly 100 booths. Representatives of units and enterprises participating in the Tet market drew up booth locations, preparing quality goods to serve union members.

The City Labor Federation has reserved at least 5,000 free shopping vouchers (VND 200,000/voucher) worth 1 billion VND to give to union members at the Hai Phong Trade Union Tet Market 2026, and supported 8,250 shopping vouchers at the Online Tet Market program with a total value of VND 4.125 billion from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Ms. Nguyen Bich Hoa - General Director of Minh Khai Trading Joint Stock Company - said that after many years of accompanying the City Labor Federation at the Trade Union Tet Market program, Minh Khai Trading Joint Stock Company has found this to be an extremely meaningful activity of trade unions at all levels for employees every time Tet comes and Spring comes.

At this year's Tet market, the company prepared nearly 1,000 diverse items for the booth at the Tet market. These are all essential products, serving the needs of the majority of union members and workers during Tet. For candy and jams for Tet, the company offers a 10% discount to union members. Within the framework of the program, the City Labor Federation will give Tet gifts, shopping vouchers, free health check-ups, and eye examinations to about 1,000 workers in difficult circumstances, demonstrating the affection, concern, and timely sharing of the Union, helping workers warm their hearts when Tet comes and Spring comes.
