Hai Phong union members receive 36,000 bus tickets for Tet

Workers are excited to receive gifts, more motivation to welcome the new year

From early morning, many workers were present at the event venue in an excited mood. After the safe driving skills training, union members received New Year's gifts and motorbike oil from the City Labor Federation.

Sharing at the program, Ms. Duong Thi Phuoc - a worker at Continuance Shoes Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said: "Our workers' income is low, and at the end of the year, we have to worry about all kinds of expenses. The union's attention and giving me Tet gifts and motorbike oil, I feel very warm. Although the gift is not large, it is very practical, helping me save some expenses and feel more secure when going to work every day".

Sharing the same feelings, Ms. Pham Thi Yen - a worker at Hai Duong Industrial Automation Joint Stock Company - said that the program has great spiritual encouragement for workers far from home.

"At the end of the year, everyone hopes to have more support to take care of their family. Receiving gifts and participating in safe driving training, I feel cared for and listened to" - Ms. Yen said.

According to Mr. Vu Van Bac, a worker at the same company, the training of safe driving skills is a very necessary content. "We go to work by motorbike every day, the road is crowded, there are many unexpected situations. Being reminded of traffic rules and how to handle incidents helps me feel more confident and limit risks when participating in traffic" - Mr. Bac shared.

Not only material gifts, the program also brings timely spiritual encouragement, especially for union members in difficult circumstances such as sick single mothers raising young children, people with serious illnesses, work accidents, occupational diseases, or affected by natural disasters, fires, and unemployment in 2025.

Caring is central, right person, right time

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh - Vice President of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, in recent years, especially every time Tet comes, the work of caring for union members and workers has always been identified by the City Labor Federation as a key, continuous task, associated with the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers.

Particularly on the occasion of New Year's Day and Lunar New Year 2026, the City Labor Federation has proactively developed plans, mobilized resources and organized many care activities on a large scale, synchronously and practically. Accordingly, the whole city has been implementing 16,000 New Year's gifts and 20,000 Lunar New Year gifts, each worth 1 million VND; supporting 36,000 bus tickets for union members to return home for Tet, each worth 200,000 VND.

Along with that, 6,600 boxes of motorcycle oil, worth 85,000 VND/box, were given to union members; 3,000 gifts were given directly at the "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" programs, each worth 500,000 VND; 5,000 Tet vouchers worth 200,000 VND for union members to shop at the Hai Phong 2026 Trade Union Tet Market. Over 2,500 gifts for business leaders, each worth 1.5 million VND, demonstrated respect, companionship and shared responsibility in caring for workers.

These figures not only demonstrate the scale of care, but more importantly, the determination of the City Trade Union organization in caring for the right people, the right job, the right time, especially union members in difficult circumstances, working directly, working far from home - Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh emphasized.

These practical activities contribute to bringing workers far from home and low-income workers a warm, safe and meaningful Tet season, demonstrating the deep concern of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation for workers.
