The first union members in Hai Phong to receive free glass examination and replacement

Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Van Phiet - Vice President of the City Labor Federation emphasized that eyes are a valuable asset, playing a particularly important role in daily life and work. However, due to increasing work pressure and a special working environment, many union members and workers are facing eye disease risks but have not had the conditions to be examined and treated promptly. In particular, for cases of cataracts - a leading cause of vision loss and blindness - the cost of surgery is often a significant financial burden for many families of workers.

Understanding those concerns, today's program is organized not simply as a medical activity, but as a practical action to concretize the policy of "Caring for the welfare of union members". This is the sentiment and responsibility of the City Trade Union and Hanoi Eye Hospital - Hai Phong towards those who are day and night contributing to the development of the port city.

On November 28, 38 union members and relatives of union members and workers in Vinh Bao commune, Tien Lang commune, Hong An, Thuy Nguyen, Kien An, Gia Vien wards enjoyed the program. Here, workers and their relatives receive in-depth examinations 10 steps before surgery: Vision test, eye pressure measurement, refractive measurement, etc. examination, eye bottom scanning, ultrasound, wide-angle eye bottom scanning, retina culture scanning, dialysis, consultation with ophthalmologist and pre-operative testing.

Phaco surgery is performed on a new generation Centurion (US) machine, using artificial glass filling from Europe or Japan... After each surgery, workers are provided with a nutritious lunch, given medicine, given protective glasses, and given free medical examination packages for 6 months. Each surgical package is worth 16,000,000 VND.
