Subjects with the highest monthly social allowance from October 2026

Point d, Clause 1, Article 6 of Decree 335/2026/ND-CP Regulating social assistance policies (effective from October 5, 2026) stipulates the monthly social allowance level with a coefficient of 3.0 for subjects specified in Point b, Clause 5, Article 5 of Decree 335/2026/ND-CP.

Point b, Clause 5, Article 5 of Decree 335/2026/ND-CP stipulates that the elderly are entitled to social allowances: Elderly people who are from poor households, do not have people with obligations and rights to support them, do not have conditions to live in the community, are eligible to be admitted to social assistance facilities but have someone to nurture and care for them in the community.

Clause 2, Article 4, Decree 335/2026/ND-CP stipulates: The standard level of social assistance is 540,000 VND/month.

Thus, elderly people belonging to poor households, without people with obligations and rights to support, without living conditions in the community, eligible to be admitted to social assistance facilities but with people receiving care and nurturing in the community, are entitled to the highest monthly social allowance of 1,620,000 VND (540,000 VND x 3).
