Preferential policies for people with meritorious services and relatives of people with meritorious services

Article 5 of the Consolidated Document of the Ordinance on Preferential Treatment of People with Meritorious Services to the Revolution 2026 stipulates that depending on each subject, people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of people with meritorious services to the revolution are entitled to the following main preferential regimes:

1. Monthly allowance, monthly allowance, one-time allowance;

2. Other preferential regimes include:

a) Health insurance;

b) Health recovery nursing;

c) Providing assistive devices, orthopedic instruments, necessary rehabilitation facilities and equipment as prescribed by specialized rehabilitation hospitals or basic hospitals with specialized rehabilitation departments or higher;

d) Priority in enrollment and job creation;

e) Support to study up to university level at educational institutions under the national education system;

e) Supporting housing improvement based on the merits and circumstances of each person or when there are housing difficulties;

g) Exemption or reduction of land use fees when the State allocates residential land, changes the land use purpose to residential land, recognizes residential land use rights, when buying houses owned by the State;

h) Prioritize allocation or lease of land, water surface, sea surface; prioritize contract allocation for forest protection and development;

i) Borrowing preferential capital for production and business;

k) Tax exemption or reduction according to the provisions of law.

Thus, depending on each subject, people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of people with meritorious services to the revolution are entitled to preferential treatment according to the above regulations.
