A statement from the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on August 6 stated: At the invitation of Governor-General of Australia Sam Mostyn and Governor-General of New Zealand Cindy Kiro, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam and the high-level Vietnamese delegation will pay state visits to Australia and New Zealand from August 9 to August 14, 2026.
