Lao Cai temporarily suspends recruitment and reception of civil servants from other provinces
Lao Cai - The Provincial People's Committee requests agencies, units and localities to proactively arrange personnel, streamline staff and temporarily suspend the reception of civil servants from other provinces.
On August 23, information from the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just issued Official Dispatch No. 8578 directing the management and use of staff, recruitment, reception and transfer of cadres, civil servants, and public employees from now until the end of 2026.
Accordingly, administrative agencies, organizations and commune-level People's Committees must ensure that the number of people present is not higher than the temporarily assigned payroll in 2026 according to the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council.
For agencies, units, and localities expected to streamline staff by January 1, 2027, the Provincial People's Committee requests to proactively develop plans for arrangement, transfer, rotation, settlement of policies, retirement... to ensure that by December 31, 2026, the assigned staff targets assigned by competent authorities are met.
Notably, Lao Cai province temporarily suspended the reception of civil servants at agencies, administrative organizations and commune-level People's Committees.
For the education sector, after completing the project to arrange educational institutions in the 2026-2030 period, the Department of Education and Training will coordinate with the commune-level People's Committee to review the number of assigned employees and the current number.
On that basis, determine the needs, structure and number of public employees to be recruited, and submit it to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision.
In the field of health, the Department of Health is assigned to coordinate with the commune-level People's Committee to review the number of assigned employees and the current number, thereby determining the recruitment needs of civil servants, and submitting them to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration after the appraisal of the Department of Home Affairs.
Regarding the transfer and reception of cadres and civil servants, Lao Cai province temporarily suspends the reception of cadres and civil servants from other provinces to become civil servants in the province. Special cases must be reported to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision.
The transfer of cadres and civil servants between departments, agencies, branches and commune-level People's Committees in the province will only be carried out after having a written approval from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
