The Government Inspectorate has just publicly announced the Conclusion of the specialized inspection of redundant houses and land after arrangement in Hanoi City.

Inspection shows that, besides the achieved results, the arrangement, handling, management, and use of redundant houses and land after arrangement in the City still have some shortcomings, limitations, and omissions as follows:

The City People's Committee has not promptly directed functional agencies to strengthen inspection and examination work; the Department of Finance has not promptly advised and established delegations and working groups to urge and guide agencies, units, wards, and communes with redundant facilities to implement according to the Prime Minister's direction on promoting the implementation of asset handling plans after arrangement, organizational structure, and administrative units. Responsibility belongs to the Hanoi City People's Committee, the Hanoi City Department of Finance and relevant organizations and individuals.

Regarding the management and use of houses and land facilities:

Notably, the Hanoi People's Committee is also proposed to direct functional agencies to conduct inspections, examinations, and handle vacant houses and land that are not used for more than 12 consecutive months; clearly identify the nature, extent, consequences, causes, responsibilities, strictly handle violations and errors according to legal regulations; have plans and measures to soon put houses and land into exploitation and use, avoiding waste; report the implementation results to the Government Inspectorate.

In the process of implementation, if signs of criminal law violations are detected, they shall be transferred to functional agencies for consideration and handling according to the provisions of law.
