Thai Nguyen aims to cover 5G coverage over 95% of the population in 2026
Thai Nguyen - April 29, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Loan chaired a meeting to assess the progress of telecommunications infrastructure development in the area.
According to reports from telecommunications businesses and data from the Telecommunications Authority, by the end of 2025, the 5G coverage rate on the population of Thai Nguyen province will reach 79%.
According to the registered plan of businesses, in 2026, the whole province is expected to develop 923 5G BTS stations.
Specifically: Viettel Thai Nguyen develops 399 stations, VNPT Thai Nguyen 263 stations, MobiFone Thai Nguyen 261 5G BTS stations.
In 2026, Thai Nguyen sets a target to increase the 5G coverage rate on the entire province's population to 95%.
At the meeting, delegates discussed some difficulties in deploying 5G coverage.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Loan requested telecommunications businesses to continue to promote infrastructure investment, especially the 5G network, in accordance with the registered commitments.
