Gia Binh Airport has a total investment of more than VND196,000 billion, 5-star standard
According to the Resolution of the National Assembly, the total investment capital of the Gia Binh International Airport Construction Investment Project (Gia Binh Airport) is about 196,378 billion VND.
Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man has signed and issued a Resolution on the investment policy for the Gia Binh International Airport Construction Investment Project.
The Resolution states that the investment in building Gia Binh International Airport must comply with international standards, becoming a smart, green, sustainable, new-generation, international-class airport.
The project is built to meet the standards of a 5-star international airport service, in the group of 10 leading 5-star airports in the world.
The construction of the project also aims to be the gateway to the Northern region, a transit airport for passengers, goods and aircraft maintenance, repair and maintenance facilities in the Asia-Pacific region.
Project scale: Level 4F (according to the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization - ICAO); meeting the exploitation needs of about 30 million passengers/year and 1.6 million tons of cargo/year by 2030.
By 2050, there will be about 50 million passengers/year and 2.5 million tons of goods/year.
The area is about 1,884.93 hectares, of which about 922.25 hectares are rice fields with 2 or more crops; the land is reclaimed once according to the planning scale and the land use purpose is changed according to the provisions of law.
Total investment capital and capital: the total investment capital of the Project is about VND196,378 billion; of which the investor's equity must be guaranteed not to be less than 15% of the total investment capital of the Project.
The project is expected to be divided into 2 phases. In which, phase 1 (from 2025 - 2030):
Phase 1.1 (from 2025 - 2027) completes the construction of necessary works to serve the APEC Summit in 2027.
Phase 1.2 (from 2026 - 2030) completes the construction of the remaining works of phase 1 to ensure synchronous operation and exploitation to meet the capacity of 30 million passengers/year and 1.6 million tons of goods/year;
And phase 2 (from 2031 - 2050):
Complete the construction of works to meet the capacity of 50 million passengers/year and 2.5 million tons of goods/year.
The project's operation period: 70 years.
