Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc inspects the progress of APEC 2027 projects

On August 2, Politburo Member, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc led a Central working delegation with leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of An Giang province to inspect the progress of a number of key projects serving the APEC 2027 Summit in Phu Quoc.

Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security also participated in the working delegation.

At the inspection, the working delegation surveyed the actual Phu Quoc International Airport expansion project, assessed the progress of the expansion and upgrade items to meet the requirements of serving international delegations, and at the same time improve the airport's operating capacity in the new development phase.

The delegation also inspected the Provincial Road Project DT975 and the Urban Subway Project section 1 - key traffic projects that play a role in connecting infrastructure, creating favorable conditions for the travel of delegates and people during the APEC Summit as well as serving the long-term development of Phu Quoc.

Next, the working delegation inspected the APEC Conference Center Project, and at the same time visited and presented gifts to encourage engineers and workers who are working directly at the project.

These are important projects, contributing to perfecting the modern and synchronous urban appearance, meeting the requirements of organizing large-scale international events.

Through actual inspection, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc requested ministries, branches, localities, investors and construction units to focus maximum resources, accelerate progress, ensure project quality, absolute safety during construction, determined to complete projects according to plan, contributing to careful preparation for the APEC Summit and creating sustainable development momentum for Phu Quoc in the coming time.
