Mr. Truong Quoc Huy talks about the reason for resigning as Secretary of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee
Mr. Truong Quoc Huy ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee, and was allowed to retire from work at his personal request.
On the afternoon of January 9, at the headquarters of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Nguyen Quang Duong announced the Politburo's decision to transfer, assign, and appoint Mr. Pham Dai Duong, Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee, to hold the position of Secretary of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
According to the reporter's source, Mr. Truong Quoc Huy has submitted a petition to the Politburo asking to cease holding positions in Phu Tho province and cease performing duties as a National Assembly delegate for personal reasons.
On the same afternoon, speaking with reporters over the phone, Mr. Truong Quoc Huy said that his health is having problems.
He said he is currently being treated at a hospital for a stroke.
Mr. Truong Quoc Huy was born in 1970, from Ninh Binh, has a master's degree in Economic Management, Senior in Political Theory. Previously, he held many leadership positions in Ha Nam and Ninh Binh and was transferred to hold the position of Secretary of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee from September 2025.
