In terms of FDI investment, China is currently the 6th largest foreign investor in Vietnam with a total registered capital of 31.26 billion USD.

The two sides have reached a common understanding on the solutions for a number of projects with backlogs. Infrastructure connection between the two countries, especially railways, has achieved many important advances.

The two sides have closely cooperated in developing the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong Railway Planning.
