Clean up driver's license data: Clearly identify "no time to extend"

On January 20, Hanoi City Police held a conference on the progress of implementing Plan No. 375 dated October 31, 2025 on a peak of 60 days and nights of general review and cleaning of vehicle registration and driver's license data in the area.

At the Conference, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Me, Deputy Head of the District Traffic Police Department of CATP, reported a summary of the situation and results of the implementation of Plan No. 375 during the week from January 13 to January 19.

In addition to positive results, the report clearly shows that the implementation progress between units and areas is still different; some data groups are still complicated and large in volume, requiring continued focus on processing in the remaining short time of the peak period, ensuring both speed and quality.

Next, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ba Ngu, Deputy Head of the CATP Staff Department, reported the results of monitoring and urging the implementation of assigned tasks at the previous meeting.

The report emphasizes the need to continue to strictly maintain the daily meeting regime to count progress; clearly identify the responsibility of the head in directing and operating; strengthen self-inspection and self-assessment of data and records quality at each unit to limit errors and avoid backlogs in the final stage.

Concluding the Conference, Major General Nguyen Hong Ky, Deputy Director of CATP emphasized that the peak time for conducting a general review and cleaning of vehicle registration and driver's license data according to Plan No. 375 is not much left, requiring units to uphold the highest sense of responsibility and determination, clearly identifying "no time to extend".

Each unit needs to proactively fully identify the shortcomings, difficulties and problems in the implementation process; units that are still behind schedule must urgently accelerate and focus resources to compensate for the delay.

For professional departments, the Deputy Director of CATP requested to go directly to the grassroots, instruct according to the motto of "handsharing" the police at the commune level; at the same time, develop and issue specific and clear criteria for each group of difficult data to unify the approach. In addition, it is necessary to strengthen urging and inspecting the implementation units that are still slow, promptly remove difficulties, and ensure the overall progress of the whole city.

For the Commune-level Police, Major General Nguyen Hong Ky requested that they really speed up, promote a proactive and responsible spirit, and have no reason not to complete on schedule.

During the implementation process, if problems or difficulties arise, they must be promptly reported for immediate guidance and handling; easy data needs to be prioritized for completion first, for difficult data, they must be proactively compiled and reported to have appropriate solutions.

Units must regularly report on the progress and results of implementation; at the same time, command units must have specific commitments on completing assigned targets and tasks; the forces under the Commune-level Police must strengthen coordination, support each other, create synthetic strength, and be determined to complete the peak in accordance with the set goals and requirements.
