Draft pension adjustment receives many comments from people
In the draft document on pension adjustment, the drafting agency received many opinions from the people.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has just sent the Ministry of Justice dossiers for appraisal of the draft Decree adjusting pensions, social insurance allowances and monthly allowances. In this appraisal document, there are many opinions from the people.
Typically, people proposed adjustments according to the principle of the base salary. Regarding this, the drafting agency said that the pension adjustment is implemented according to the provisions of Article 67 of the Law on Social Insurance.
People also suggested that it is necessary to consider adding a fixed amount of 200,000 or 300,000 VND/month to low-wage subjects. The Ministry of Home Affairs said that this content has been shown in Plan 1 in the draft Decree adjusting pensions.
In addition, many people continue to contribute opinions on the pension adjustment plan. Readers propose adjustments as follows:
Group I (retired people from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2026) increased by 8.12%.
Group II (people retiring before July 1, 2024) increased by 21.12%.
Another citizen contributed: People retiring from July 2024 onwards are still 13.04% higher than people retiring from June 2024 onwards, although they have the same rank, position, and title. At that time, the base salary increased by 30% but the pension only increased by 15%.
Other readers suggested adjusting pensions for people retiring before and after July 1, 2024, because people retiring before this time are losing 15% of their monthly pension.
This reader proposed that retirees from June 2024 and earlier receive an additional 7.5% increase.
Some readers believe that the draft has not mentioned adjusting pensions for people retiring before and after July 1, 2024.
Some other opinions suggested an increase of 15%.
With the above comments, the Ministry of Home Affairs said that there is no basis for acceptance because it is not consistent with the provisions of law, as well as the Party's guidelines and policies on adjusting pensions, which are mainly based on the increase in the consumer price index.
However, this agency said it will record readers' recommendations for consideration in the process of perfecting legal regulations on social insurance.
