Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Ivory Coast to pay official visit to Vietnam soon
Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Ivory Coast Patrick Achi will pay an official visit to Vietnam.
At the invitation of Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Ivory Coast Patrick Achi will pay an official visit to Vietnam from August 23 to 26, 2026.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vietnam and Ivory Coast established diplomatic relations on October 6, 1975.
The two countries maintain good traditional friendly relations with bilateral trade turnover in 2025 reaching about 1.9 billion USD, of which Vietnam's export turnover reached 698 million USD and import turnover reached 1.28 billion USD.
Regarding the commodity structure, Vietnam's exports to Ivory Coast are mainly rice, clinker and cement, machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts, and coffee.
Vietnam mainly imports raw cashew nuts, usually accounting for 80-90% of the total import value; in addition, there are also cotton and wood.
Ivory Coast is Vietnam's 3rd largest rice export market.
