Dong Thap - On May 28, the Provincial Labor Federation organized a ceremony to announce the decision to admit union members and establish the grassroots trade union of Thai Duong - My An Hung Handbag Garment Co., Ltd.

Attending were Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui, Chairwoman of the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ).

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui congratulated the collective of union members, workers and the Provisional Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union of the company.

The Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation emphasized that the establishment of grassroots trade unions not only contributes to increasing the rate of workers joining trade union organizations but also creates a bridge between businesses and workers, building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in businesses.

Ms. Tuyet Vui requested the Provisional Executive Committee of the Grassroots Trade Union to quickly develop operating regulations, assign specific tasks to each member; proactively grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers; closely coordinate with the Company's Board of Directors to well implement regimes and policies related to workers in accordance with the law.

In addition, the trade union organization needs to promote propaganda and mobilize union members to actively work and produce, well comply with labor regulations, participate in patriotic emulation movements launched by the trade union; gradually build a safe, friendly, stable and sustainable working environment.

Representatives of the Board of Directors of Thai Duong - My An Hung Handbag Garment Co., Ltd. expressed their agreement and high consensus on the establishment of a trade union organization at the enterprise; and committed to creating favorable conditions for the trade union to operate effectively, contributing to caring for the material and spiritual life of workers.

On behalf of the Provisional Executive Committee of the Grassroots Trade Union, Mr. Bui Tan Tai spoke to receive the assignment and promised to promote the spirit of solidarity and responsibility, well perform the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; building an increasingly strong trade union organization.

From the beginning of the year to now, trade union levels in Dong Thap province have newly established 20 grassroots trade unions and professional unions; developed 10,150 union members.

To date, the whole province has 757 grassroots trade unions and trade unions with 204,666 union members/215,001 workers, civil servants, and laborers.
