Offering incense to commemorate the 94th anniversary of the death of comrade Nguyen Duc Canh

Attending the program were Comrade Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL); representatives of leaders of Hai Phong City, leaders of departments, agencies, branches, localities, representatives of VGCLs of provinces and cities, along with a large number of trade union officials, union members, and workers in Hai Phong City.

In a solemn atmosphere, delegates spent a minute of silence, offering incense to commemorate comrade Nguyen Duc Canh and the heroic martyrs, expressing deep gratitude for their contributions and sacrifices for the cause of national liberation, construction and defense of the Fatherland.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of Hai Phong City Labor Federation presented a commemorative speech, reviewing the life, career and great contributions of comrade Nguyen Duc Canh - a staunch communist soldier, one of the founding members of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association, a person who made many important contributions in the process of establishing the Communist Party of Vietnam; a pioneering leader in the Vietnamese workers' movement; the first Chairman of the Northern Red Trade Union - the predecessor organization of the Vietnam Trade Union today; the first Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper; former Secretary of the Northern Regional Party Committee and the first Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Canh was born in a land rich in patriotic and revolutionary traditions. Early awakened to revolutionary ideals, he devoted his youth and life to the cause of national liberation and class liberation.

With intelligence, bravery and a passionate heart, he made important contributions to building, organizing and developing the workers' movement and revolutionary movement. In Hai Phong, he directly associated with the working class, rolled around in the movement, propaganda, enlightenment, and gathering workers, contributing to laying an important foundation for the development of the workers' movement and the City Trade Union organization.

In the years of arduous revolutionary struggle, before the fierce suppression of the enemy, Comrade Nguyen Duc Canh always maintained the integrity of a communist, was steadfast in revolutionary ideals, did not succumb to all torture, and was ready to sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and the happiness of the People.

On July 31, 1932, in Hai Phong, the French colonialists executed comrade Nguyen Duc Canh and comrade Ho Ngoc Lan. In the last moments of his life, he still bravely chanted revolutionary slogans, showing his steadfast spirit, steadfast loyalty to the Party and revolutionary ideals.

The life, revolutionary career and heroic sacrifice of comrade Nguyen Duc Canh are a bright example of loyalty to the Party, to communist ideals; about the spirit of dedication, dedication and willingness to sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people.

The great contributions of comrades have become invaluable spiritual heritage, a fire of tradition illuminating the way, adding motivation for generations of officials, union members, workers, and laborers of Hai Phong city today and in the future to continue striving and contributing.

Before the spirit of comrade Nguyen Duc Canh and the heroic martyrs, the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation and all officials, union members, and workers of the city wish to continue to unite, join hands, and be united; constantly innovate and create; determined to build the working class and the Hai Phong City Trade Union organization to be increasingly strong; better care for the lives, jobs and legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; promote the tradition of "Loyalty - Determined to Win", "Eastern Heritage" to contribute to building Hai Phong city to become increasingly rich, strong, civilized, and modern, making positive contributions to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland" - the leader of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation emphasized.

At the program, delegates enjoyed an art program with the theme "Nguyen Duc Canh - forever shining a mirror" with drum performances, Cheo singing, and Van singing praising the Party, Fatherland and the life and revolutionary career of Comrade Nguyen Duc Canh. The program was staged and performed by artists and actors of the Eastern Cheo Theater.
