General Confederation of Labour surveys emulation and commendation work in An Giang

The survey delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor led by Comrade Tran Thu Phuong - Member of the Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Affairs Committee, just came to survey the emulation and commendation work after arranging and streamlining the Trade Union apparatus in An Giang (afternoon of July 30).

Recorded at An Giang General Hospital, emulation movements are being implemented diversely associated with the specifics of the medical industry, professional tasks, aiming to improve the quality of care and service for patients. At Agimexpharm Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, the delegation acknowledged the companionship of the Board of Directors in emulation and commendation work, notably the forms of hot commendation with practical value, promptly encouraging employees (NLĐ) with achievements and initiatives. The company also has many emulation and commendation titles at high levels. At Hwaseung Rach Gia Co., Ltd., the movement is organized in association with production and business, focusing on productivity, quality, work efficiency and the sense of responsibility of employees. Grassroots trade unions proactively coordinate with the Board of Directors to select appropriate content, creating a link between emulation and production activities.

Comrade Tran Thu Phuong requested the Board of Directors to continue to coordinate with the grassroots Trade Union to launch emulation movements suitable to production and business tasks; pay attention to detecting, recognizing and promptly rewarding effective initiatives and solutions. The grassroots Trade Union needs to promote its role and authority in commendation and reward; study the establishment of an Innovation Review Council and an Emulation Council to put this work into order and become a regular activity.

Working with the survey delegation, the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation said that the movement is not uniform among grassroots trade unions; some places do well thanks to the attention of the Executive Committee and employers, while in some grassroots levels, the detection, commendation, and reward of employees are still limited.

Chairman of An Giang Provincial Labor Federation Do Tran Thinh emphasized that emulation must be associated with production, business and professional tasks, creating direct motivation for union members and workers to improve productivity, quality, and work efficiency. The Provincial Labor Federation proposed that the General Confederation continue to improve criteria and reward mechanisms in the direction of being closer to grassroots levels, paying more attention to workers directly involved in production; study thematic forms of reward for union member development, collective bargaining and key tasks of the Trade Union organization; and at the same time have launching forms suitable to local characteristics.

Highly appreciating the survey results in An Giang, Comrade Tran Thu Phuong said that direct exchanges from the grassroots level have provided a lot of practical information for the process of researching and perfecting policies. Through the survey, the Delegation not only recorded effective models but also clearly identified points that need to be removed in procedures, methods of selection and the level of recognition of employee achievements.

The comrade highly appreciated the 7 groups of recommendations of the Provincial Labor Federation, especially the proposals to improve guidance after arrangement; concretize the criteria of the "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income" movement; simplify dossiers, strengthen training, digital transformation and build a coordination mechanism between the General Confederation and the Ministry of Home Affairs on emulation and commendation work. The delegation will summarize the recommendations from An Giang to report and propose to the General Confederation to study and improve policies in a more grassroots direction, especially to recognize and encourage employees directly involved in production.
