The electricity industry organizes emulation on key projects

Rewarding 20 collectives and 241 individuals

According to the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union (ĐLVN), in the first 6 months of 2026, officials, union members, and workers (NLĐ) in the industry had 3,266 topics, solutions, and initiatives summarized.

The Vietnam Electricity Trade Union has rewarded 20 collectives and 241 individuals with a total bonus of 555.25 million VND; awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 collectives and 20 individuals in the "10,000 initiatives" movement; 12 collectives and 28 typical individuals studying and following Uncle Ho; commended 114 typical electricity workers.

Among the 114 typical electricity workers commended by the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, there is Mr. Pham Hieu Trung - engineer of the Technical Department, Power Transmission Company 3 (PTC3).

Mr. Trung believes that technicians need to be responsible, serious, constantly learn and proactively apply new technologies. From practical requirements, he has researched many initiatives to improve operational reliability and master technology.

Examples include the solution to monitor the working status of Gateway and the SCADA transmission channel to help promptly handle abnormalities in the SCADA information system; the solution to exploit SOTF function in the SEL relay at the 500kV Dak Nong substation, improving protection efficiency and operational reliability; or the solution to configure the relay system to perform automatic group switching circuits at the 220kV Thap Cham substation, not only improving operational reliability but also demonstrating mastering the technology of the integrated substation system...

Perform the "four ends

Talking to reporters, Mr. Do Duc Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union - shared some initial experiences in organizing the emulation movement "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income" in the 2026-2031 period.

According to the Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, the emulation movement must become a common responsibility of professionals and trade unions; clear goals, clear targets, clear measurement methods and clear rights of workers.

Mr. Do Duc Hung said that on June 7, at Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union organized a bridge point to respond to the emulation movement "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income" for the period 2026 - 2031 launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The program is not only limited to the response ceremony but is designed into a series of practical activities: Units organize the Emulation Commitment Signing Ceremony between the director and the chairman of the grassroots trade union.

This activity shows a shift from the "trade union launches, workers respond" approach to "professionalism and trade unions jointly commit, jointly organize, jointly supervise and jointly take responsibility for the results".

In which, expertise ensures resources, technology, working conditions and incentive mechanisms; trade unions propagate, mobilize, accompany, supervise and protect the rights of workers.

Along with that, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union also organized an emulation movement to orient the implementation of "four togethers": Together with professionals to determine goals; together with workers to find solutions; together to supervise the emulation process; together to share achievements.

The movement must ensure "cinq clarity": Clear people, clear tasks, clear responsibilities, clear progress and clear rights for employees to enjoy.

From the reality of the Electricity industry, we believe that emulation movements only have vitality when organized by mechanisms, led by commitments, measured by results and nurtured by the legitimate rights of employees.

In the coming time, the EVN Trade Union will continue to coordinate with EVN Group to replicate the model of signing commitments; promote the 10,000 initiative movement; organize emulation on key projects; strengthen digital emulation management; honor employees directly and link productivity, initiative, and safety results with salaries, bonuses, benefits and working conditions. With the spirit of "Good labor - High productivity - Good income - EVN's sustainable development", we believe that the movement will help each employee become better at one skill, have one more initiative, work safer and more efficiently; contribute to building a sustainable EVN and improving employees' lives" - Mr. Do Duc Hung said.
