More than 1,200 workers are cared for through "Trade Union Meals
Can Tho - Activities contributing to improving the quality of lunch meals, creating cohesion between businesses, trade unions and workers.
On July 31, Ms. Tran Tu Nhien - Vice President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) as Head of the delegation visited and encouraged businesses, attended and shared "Trade Union Meals" with union members and workers at the grassroots Trade Union (CĐCS) of HS Vietnam Chemical Co., Ltd. - Soc Trang Branch.
At the visit, the Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation cordially inquired about the production and business situation of the enterprise; listened to the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers and shared the difficulties that the unit is facing.
Ms. Tran Tu Nhien acknowledged the efforts of businesses in caring for the material and spiritual lives of workers; at the same time, she affirmed that the Can Tho City Labor Federation will continue to accompany businesses, strengthen activities to care for and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
On this occasion, more than 1,200 meals were served in the "Trade Union Meal" program, each meal worth 60,000 VND. The menu was carefully prepared with savory dishes, fried dishes, stir-fried dishes, soup, yogurt and fruit desserts, ensuring full nutrition, showing the concern of businesses and trade union organizations for the health and life of workers.
In particular, the Trade Union of HS Vietnam Chemical Co., Ltd. - Soc Trang Branch also maintains the organization of "Special Meal" on the Friday of the last week of each month. Each meal is worth over 30,000 VND, supported by businesses to improve the quality of lunch meals for workers.
The activity is maintained regularly, contributing to improving life, creating cohesion between businesses, trade union organizations and employees, and at the same time encouraging employees to feel secure in their work and be attached to the business for a long time.
The "Trade Union Meal" program is a practical activity to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026), contributing to spreading the caring spirit of the Trade Union organization, affirming the role of accompanying businesses in building a civilized, stable and sustainable working environment.
