Can Tho Trade Union members compete in legal knowledge and creative digital transformation

On the afternoon of July 29, Emulation Cluster No. 31 under the Can Tho City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized the "Trade Union Members learn about laws and create in the digital transformation period" contest.

Attending were Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, City Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation.

Speaking at the contest, Mr. Tran Van Khai - Deputy Director of Can Tho City Social Insurance (BHXH), Chairman of Can Tho City Social Insurance Grassroots Trade Union, Head of Emulation Cluster No. 31 stated clearly that the contest is organized to concretize the guidelines, policies, and laws of the Party, State, and Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on innovating the content and methods of propaganda and legal education.

At the same time, raising awareness and responsibility of Trade Union members in complying with the law, protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers, meeting development requirements in the digital transformation period and especially celebrating the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 – July 28, 2026).

According to the Chairman of the Grassroots Trade Union of Can Tho City Social Insurance, through the Contest, the Organizing Committee wishes to create a forum for Trade Union members to connect, exchange, learn, exchange experiences, and improve their knowledge of the Trade Union Law, the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union, labor law regulations, regimes, and policies for employees; especially the new points of the 2024 Social Insurance Law, health insurance policies, unemployment insurance and related regulations.

According to the Organizing Committee, the Contest includes two main contents, the Q&A round, where the teams show legal knowledge, situation handling ability and understanding of the Trade Union Law, Vietnam Trade Union Charter, policies related to employees, occupational safety and health; social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance policies.

The second part is a short video contest on digital transformation, aiming to spread initiatives, good models, and effective ways of applying digital technology, artificial intelligence and administrative reform, contributing to building grassroots trade union organizations that are increasingly modern, professional, and serve people and businesses better and better.
