Many activities to care for workers in Nui Thanh commune, Da Nang
Da Nang - A series of practical activities are being implemented by the Nui Thanh Commune Trade Union to care for life and protect the rights of union members and workers.
In July 2026, the Nui Thanh Commune Trade Union (Da Nang City) implemented many practical activities towards union members and workers, from policy propaganda, supporting people in difficult circumstances, organizing "Trade Union Meals", establishing self-managed boarding houses to building the "Happy Workers' Group" Project.
The highlight of the month is a conference on propaganda, consulting, and dialogue on social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance and preferential credit programs with the participation of nearly 100 union members and workers at businesses in the area.
Through dialogue, Q&A and multiple-choice questions, workers are answered questions related to policies, thereby better understanding their legitimate rights and interests. This is also the way the Nui Thanh Commune Trade Union brings social security policies closer to union members and workers.
In parallel with propaganda work, the Commune Trade Union continues to review, visit and support union members and workers in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses or encountering risks in life.
In July, the unit coordinated to provide support from the Vietnam Fisheries Humanitarian Fund to 13 families with relatives working on two fishing vessels QNa-90129-TS and QNa-90926-TS that were in distress at sea in 2023, contributing to encouraging families to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
Activities to care for workers' lives are also being widely deployed. During the month, 15/27 grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions under the Nui Thanh Commune Trade Union organized the "Trade Union Meals" and "Heather Cooling - Caring for Workers" programs.
In July, the Nui Thanh Commune Trade Union also established and launched the "Workers' Self-Management Group for Boarding Houses", a model replicated from the "Skillful Mass Mobilization" movement of the City Trade Union organization. Through this model, workers are propagated about laws, access policies, and at the same time strengthen connections, support each other in life and help the Trade Union promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers.
In addition to care activities, the Commune Trade Union organized the program "Journey to the Source - Visiting the Red Address" for trade union officials. The delegation offered incense at the Tomb of Mr. Huynh Thuc Khang, the Memorial Area of former Prime Minister Pham Van Dong, the Martyrs' Grave Area of Huynh Ngoc Hue; and commemorated martyr Le Que and visited and presented gifts to former leaders of the Nui Thanh District Trade Union and full-time trade union officials who have retired through periods.
Towards long-term care for workers, the Nui Thanh Commune Trade Union is researching and advising on building the Project "Building a model of a happy worker group in Nui Thanh commune, Da Nang city in the period 2026-2030".
The model aims to build a safe and stable working environment, ensure rights, care for material and spiritual life, and strengthen the cohesion of workers.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Phuc, Chairwoman of the Nui Thanh Commune Trade Union, the activities implemented in July, although simple, all aim to better care for union members and workers, contributing to enhancing the role of the Trade Union organization and building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations.
