Cam Duong Trade Union takes care of workers from meaningful meals

On May 9, information from the Cam Duong Ward Trade Union said that in response to Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026, the unit has coordinated with businesses to organize activities to directly care for union members and workers.

Prominent in the series of activities is the "Trade Union Meal" program organized by Cam Duong Ward Trade Union in coordination with the grassroots Trade Union of Hanoi Bitcar Lao Cai Joint Stock Company.

The program was attended by leaders of Cam Duong ward and a large number of union members and workers. More than 90 union members and workers working at the enterprise participated in a friendly meal in a friendly and sharing atmosphere.

According to reporters' records, the special point of the program is that the quality of meals has been significantly improved compared to normal days.

If a regular shift meal for workers costs about 30,000 VND, at "Trade Union Meals", the value of the meal is increased to 80,000 VND/person.

In which, the Trade Union of Cam Duong ward supports 30,000 VND/portion, and the grassroots Trade Union of enterprises supports an additional 20,000 VND/portion. The menu is supplemented with many nutritious dishes and fruit desserts, helping workers have a fuller and higher quality meal after working hours.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue - Chairwoman of Cam Duong Ward Trade Union said that in the past time, trade union levels in the area have always focused on innovating activities to care for union members in a practical direction, close to the actual needs of workers.

We determine to take care of union members not only through large activities but also from the simplest and most practical things such as daily meals. When workers are cared for both materially and spiritually, they will be assured of their work and stick with the business for a long time," Ms. Hue shared.

According to Ms. Hue, in addition to the "Trade Union Meal" program, Cam Duong Ward Trade Union also regularly coordinates with businesses to propagate labor safety and hygiene, fire and explosion prevention, and health care for workers; and promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members to provide support when necessary.

This is also the second time "Trade Union Meal" has been organized since the Cam Duong Ward Trade Union was established.

The activity not only carries the meaning of caring for life but also creates connections between trade union organizations, businesses and workers, contributing to building harmonious and stable labor relations at the grassroots level.
