Quang Tri promotes dialogue, improves welfare for workers

Many meaningful and practical activities

The grassroots trade union of Bang Mineral Water Joint Stock Company has just coordinated with MEDLATEC Quang Tri Medical Center to organize periodic health check-ups for all officials, union members and employees in the company. Through the program, employees are comprehensively checked for important indicators such as blood pressure, cardiovascular, blood tests, liver and kidney function, cancer screening and many other in-depth categories.

With this activity, the grassroots trade union continues to affirm its role as a bridge between workers and businesses, contributing to building a safe, healthy, and sustainable working environment. This is also one of the practical activities in response to Workers' Month 2026.

In addition to health care, many units focus on encouraging labor and production emulation. At Dai Thanh Garment and Trading Co., Ltd. (Nam Cua Viet commune), the enterprise maintains a reward regime for high-performance lines and departments. Bonuses ranging from 2 to 8 million VND/collective are implemented weekly or monthly, creating motivation for employees to improve work efficiency.

Similarly, the Trade Union of Phong Phu Quang Tri Export Garment Factory has coordinated with the Board of Directors to award prizes to 15 union members and employees with outstanding achievements in March 2026. The bonus level is 500,000 VND/person for excellent type and 300,000 VND/person for excellent type, based on KPI evaluation criteria and work performance.

Representatives of the factory's Trade Union said that in the coming time, the unit will continue to maintain and expand commendation and reward activities to encourage the spirit of labor, contributing to improving productivity and product quality. Along with that, the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions will continue to be promoted.

Towards the grassroots level, putting workers at the center

According to the plan of the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) on deploying Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026, trade union levels focus on innovating the content and methods of operation, strongly focusing on grassroots levels, taking workers as the center.

Mr. Nguyen The Lap - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation - said that he has requested grassroots trade unions to strengthen dialogue and collective bargaining with employers to improve welfare, improve working conditions and ensure safety and occupational hygiene. At the same time, promote care activities such as visiting and supporting union members in difficult circumstances, people with work accidents and occupational diseases. One of the key tasks is to develop union members and establish grassroots trade unions in non-state enterprises, thereby expanding the scope of protection of workers' rights.

In parallel with that, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province directed departments, branches, and localities to closely coordinate with the Trade Union organization in inspecting and supervising the implementation of labor policies and laws at enterprises. The focus is on contents related to salaries, social insurance, health insurance, and labor safety. The province also requests to strengthen inspection and strictly handle violations.
