In Hanoi, in addition to strengthening, supervising, and participating in stabilizing labor relations, during the Lunar New Year 2025, the Capital Trade Union at all levels focused resources on taking care of union members and workers, especially union members and workers in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses, work-related accidents, and occupational diseases.
In addition to activities such as "Tet Sum Vay", "Union Tet Market", organizing buses to take and pick up workers to forget to celebrate Tet and return to work, the Capital Trade Union also supports cash travel for workers in some localities.
The bus is expected to take workers home on the morning of January 25, 2025, the morning of December 26, 2024. About 5,000 workers will be supported with bus tickets to return home for Tet. Of which, 2,000 workers returning to Nghe An and Ha Tinh will be supported with VND500,000/person; 2,000 workers returning to Thanh Hoa will be supported with VND300,000/person; 1,000 workers returning to some northern provinces such as Ha Giang, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Son La, Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Bac Can, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Lang Son will be supported with VND300,000/person.

In particular, priority is given to workers in especially difficult circumstances, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, work accidents, affected by natural disasters, floods, etc.
According to Mr. Hoang Dinh Trung - Chairman of Nam Dinh Provincial Federation of Labor, about 10,000 gifts in cash and gifts in kind were supported from the provincial Federation of Labor's budget and socialized sources.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor visited and encouraged a number of units with workers staying at agencies, units, and enterprises during Tet; and a number of workers' families in especially difficult circumstances. In particular, support 200 - 300 bus tickets for union members and employees to return home for Tet, support level 300,000 - 500,000 VND/person.
Creating effective and practical care activities
One of the activities that the Hanoi City Labor Federation recommends that trade unions at all levels actively implement during the Lunar New Year 2025 is to promote trade union supervision of the implementation of Decree 74/2024/ND-CP dated June 30, 2024 of the Government regulating the minimum wage for employees working under labor contracts and the law on wages at enterprises; coordinate with local authorities to participate in inspection and examination of compliance with labor laws, trade unions, social insurance, etc.
In particular, it is recommended that employers inform employees promptly and fully about the plan, time of salary payment, salary increase, bonus payment and allowances and support for employees during the New Year and Lunar New Year; ensure full and timely payment according to the plan, do not let employees owe wages and bonuses, leading to the risk of disputes and instability in labor relations at enterprises.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Giang - Permanent Vice President of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor - said that in addition to promoting internal resources from union financial resources, An Giang also flexibly takes on external resources to increase care for union members and employees. In addition to taking advantage of the "fire sharing" from the "Fund for the Poor" of the province, all levels of the Trade Union actively advised Party committees, heads of agencies, units, and enterprises to join hands to take care of Tet for members and employees... That flexible approach has increased the total mobilized care to about 100 billion VND, helping all members and employees have the conditions to enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet fully and warmly. This year, for the first time, the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor advised the Provincial Party Committee to invite members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to participate in delegations visiting workers in the localities under their management.
