At the meeting, the representative of the organizing committee said that the plan to organize activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 was issued early by the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (September 30, 2024).

According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the subjects for the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to take care of during Tet are all union members and employees, in which priority is given to union members and employees in especially difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, those affected by natural disasters, floods, those who have lost their working hours, lost their jobs, those who have owed wages and bonuses; Union members and employees from policy families, ethnic minorities, who have not had the opportunity to return home for Tet for many years; Union members and employees staying at their units and enterprises to work, produce and do business during Tet...

The theme of the program to care for the Lunar New Year 2025 for union members and employees is "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" and with the motto "All union members and employees have Tet".

According to the plan, trade unions at all levels will focus on organizing 10 activities to take care of union members and employees during Tet. Including the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan An Dang", focusing on the grassroots level and the grassroots level in accordance with the actual situation, ensuring safety, savings, efficiency, attracting many union members and employees to participate; visiting, giving gifts, wishing union members and employees a happy New Year on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, especially union members and employees who are still in difficulty, have low income, have serious illnesses, occupational diseases, have work accidents, are underemployed, lose jobs, owe wages and bonuses; the program "Union Tet Market 2025" online and directly; organize free transportation, transportation or support for transportation, take ships, cars, airplanes, vehicles for union members and employees to return home for Tet and return to work...

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has directed a number of provincial and municipal labor federations to organize the program "Union Train - Spring 2025" to support about 2,000 two-way train tickets (afternoon and return); the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organizes the program "Union Flight - Spring 2025" to support about 400 one-way air tickets for union members and employees working in the southern localities to return home for Tet in the northern localities...

According to the Organizing Committee, during the Lunar New Year 2025, it is expected that about 1.2 million union members and employees will be cared for and supported with union financial resources of over 1,500 billion VND.

More than 300 booths serve union members and employees

According to the plan, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has assigned the Hai Phong City Labor Federation to organize the program "Trade Union Tet Market 2025" at the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor level and launch the online program "Trade Union Tet Market 2025", with the participation of leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, local Party committees, authorities, businesses and a large number of union members and employees.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Phiet - Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation said that, implementing the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation has developed a Plan for the "2025 Trade Union Tet Market".

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Phiet, the "2025 Trade Union Tet Market" will be organized by the Hai Phong City Labor Federation for longer than previous years (5 days) - 9 days, expected to open on January 11, 2025 and end on January 19, 2025 (from December 12 to 20, Giap Thin year), at the Vietnam Friendship Labor Cultural Palace (No. 53 Lach Tray Street, Ngo Quyen District, Hai Phong City).

At the Tet market, there will be 300 booths displaying and displaying products (food, services, household appliances, cuisine, etc.) with a minimum discount of 10% or more compared to the listed prices on the market. The Hai Phong City Labor Federation will issue 2,500 shopping vouchers, priced at VND 200,000/voucher - a total value of VND 500 million - to union members and employees in difficult circumstances to visit and shop at the Tet market...

"The special feature of the 2025 Tet market is that the Hai Phong City Labor Federation will organize 9 lucky draw programs in the evenings.
