Workers with critical illnesses are supported during Tet
Grassroots trade unions of companies in industrial parks in Dong Nai province have stood up to donate and help hundreds of workers with dangerous diseases overcome difficulties.
20 years of supporting workers with critical illnesses
At the beginning of January 2026, representatives of the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union of Pou Sung Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Bau Xeo Industrial Park, An Vien commune, Dong Nai province) directly handed over support to 6 union members and employees of the company suffering from critical illnesses.
In December 2025, the company's Trade Union launched a donation drive to support and received a meaningful response from the collective of workers throughout the factory, resulting in donating more than 310 million VND to support 6 workers to cover treatment costs and overcome difficulties. The company's Trade Union also continued to receive more than 10 applications for new medical support and the Trade Union will continue to launch donations to promptly support difficult cases, especially before the Lunar New Year 2026.
Mr. Le Nhat Truong - Chairman of the grassroots trade union of Pou Sung Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said that the program to support workers with dangerous diseases has been implemented by the trade union for nearly 20 years, hundreds of workers have been helped with nearly 30 billion VND. Every year, the trade union will launch all officials and employees to join hands to contribute to support union members and workers with diseases. Each phase will have about 6 cases of workers receiving support with an amount of about 50 million VND/case.
The program is increasingly effective and practical, so union members and workers contribute more and more. This is a noble gesture, showing the spirit of solidarity, love and mutual affection of company employees" - Mr. Truong shared.
Contributing compassion, weaving love
In January 2026, the grassroots Trade Union of Longwell Co., Ltd. (Dau Giay Industrial Park, Dau Giay commune, Dong Nai province) also coordinated with the Company's Board of Directors to provide support to 2 union members in difficult circumstances (Ms. L.T.T.L and Ms. D.T.H whose husbands have serious illnesses) with nearly 100 million VND from the "Contributing compassion, weaving love" program, contributed by the collective of union members and company employees. Previously, also from this program, the grassroots Trade Union and Longwell Co., Ltd. also called for donations and support for 2 union members, Mr. D.N.Q suffering from serious illnesses and Ms. L.T.T.T whose children suffer from serious illnesses with a total amount of 144 million VND.
According to the company's trade union, the concern, empathy, and sharing of all union members and company employees have helped union members' families have more motivation to overcome difficulties.
Similarly, also in January 2026, the grassroots Trade Union of Pou Chen Vietnam Co., Ltd. mobilized and provided support to many workers suffering from dangerous diseases, helping workers have faith and motivation to overcome difficult times.
And the grassroots Trade Union of Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Thanh Phu Industrial Park, Tan Trieu ward, Dong Nai province), has organized the "Kindness Hand" program. From 2009 to now, it has supported nearly 500 union members and workers with critical illnesses to have money for treatment with an amount of nearly 20 billion VND. On average, each worker with a critical illness receives about 40 million VND. Among them, the highest was a period of 8 workers with critical illnesses receiving a support amount of more than 92 million VND/case.
Mr. Dang Tuan Tu - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said that the "Kindness Hand" program originated from sympathy for workers facing difficulties with illness, from which the trade union built this program to share the burden for workers in the treatment process.
Although the amount is not large, it is the heart of all employees in the company sharing with each other, because we are people in one family together" - Mr. Tu shared.
