Vinh Long Labor Union gives Tet gifts, helps workers overcome difficulties
Vinh Long - The Provincial Trade Union coordinates with departments and branches to visit businesses, give Tet gifts to workers in difficulty, promptly encourage and share before the New Year.
On January 21, the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor coordinated with departments and branches to organize a working delegation to visit, wish a happy New Year and give gifts to workers and laborers in difficulty at many enterprises.
According to the plan, the working group will visit Unisoll Vina Co., Ltd. and Alliance One Garment Co., Ltd. in Giao Long Industrial Park; JY VINA Co., Ltd. and Ty Thanh Co., Ltd.
At enterprises, the delegation was informed by unit leaders about the production and business situation last year. Despite difficulties due to market fluctuations, businesses still maintain production, ensure jobs, pay salaries, bonuses and benefits to workers.
At the same time, the grassroots trade union organization cares about the lives of union members and workers through cultural, artistic and sports activities during holidays and Tet; promptly visits and supports workers in difficulty, and builds a "Union Shelter".
On this occasion, the Provincial Trade Union symbolically presented 80/467 gifts to workers and laborers in difficult circumstances at companies, contributing to sharing, encouraging spirit, helping workers feel warmer, feel secure at work, and stick with the enterprise.
Speaking at the enterprises, Ms. Le Thi Kim Chi - Permanent Vice President of the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation - acknowledged the efforts of enterprises in maintaining production, ensuring rights and income for workers.
The Standing Vice President of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor highly appreciated the role of grassroots trade unions in caring for the lives of union members, especially workers in difficult circumstances, and emphasized the need to continue to closely coordinate between the trade union and enterprises.
"Union at all levels will continue to accompany businesses, better care for the material and spiritual life of union members, so that workers can work with peace of mind and stay with the company for a long time," Ms. Chi added.
