Ho Chi Minh City - From July 10th, 129 wards and communes along with the Land Registration Office system and the Ho Chi Minh City Public Administrative Service Center will work on Saturday morning.

On June 29, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued a decision on organizing working sessions every Saturday morning to receive, resolve and return results of administrative procedures in the city.

According to the decision, Saturday morning work is deployed in 3 groups of agencies and units.

The Land Registration Office system receives, resolves and returns results of administrative procedures in the field of land.

The Ho Chi Minh City Public Administration Service Center receives and returns results for procedures for issuing animal quarantine certificates for onshore animal products transported out of provincial-level areas; and at the same time, receives and resolves administrative procedures in the field of land.

For the People's Committees of 129 wards and communes, the receipt, resolution and return of results are carried out for administrative procedures in the fields of certification and land.

In addition to the above areas, based on the actual needs of people and businesses and the conditions of each agency and locality, heads of units are proactively assigned to arrange officials, civil servants, and public employees to work on Saturday mornings to receive and resolve other administrative procedures when necessary.

In case of arising a need to expand the list of procedures or supplement agencies and localities for implementation, the units will propose to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee (through the Department of Home Affairs) to consider and decide according to regulations.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also requests agencies and units to arrange for officials, civil servants, public employees and employees working on Saturday mornings to have compensatory leave on other days in accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code and guiding documents. If compensatory leave cannot be arranged for sufficient time, the unit must pay overtime wages according to the provisions of law.

The cost of organizing Saturday morning work is approved by competent authorities in the annual recurrent expenditure estimate of each agency and unit.

The decision takes effect from July 10, 2026.
