In case, Hanoi will give gifts up to 17 million VND in July 2026

Hanoi City People's Committee has just issued Plan 228/KH-UBND on amending and supplementing Plan No. 82/KH-UBND dated March 4, 2026 of the City People's Committee to organize activities to celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026) in Hanoi City.

Regarding the subjects and levels of gifts, Plan 228/KH-UBND clearly states:

Individual gifts:

Gift amount (in cash) 10,000,000 VND/person: Vietnamese Heroic Mothers;

Gift level (in cash) 3,000,000 VND/person: War invalids, type B war invalids, people enjoying policies like war invalids with a body injury rate of 21% or more; sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 41% or more; representatives of the main relatives of martyrs (father, mother, wife, husband, children, foster parents); people who participated in the resistance war and were infected with chemical toxins and are receiving monthly allowances.

In case 1 individual belongs to the above-mentioned people with meritorious services, they will only receive 1 gift from Hanoi City.

Gift amount (in cash) 1,500,000 VND/person: Representative of martyr worship (1 martyr/1 gift).

Gift levels for typical units and individuals:

Authorize the Department of Home Affairs, People's Committees of communes and wards to visit and give gifts to 37 units, each gift worth from 12,000 VND to 17,000 VND, in which:

Gift amount of 17,000,000 VND/unit (including gift bags of 2,000,000 VND, cash 15,000,000 VND): Vietnam Friendship Village; centers for nurturing people with meritorious services in neighboring provinces with Hanoi people with meritorious services being nurtured (7 units); City Association of Agent Orange Victims; Hanoi Funeral Service Department; Center for Care, Nurturing and Treatment of Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin Infection in Hanoi City; Centers for nurturing and nursing people with meritorious services; production and business units recognized by competent authorities to use 30% or more of the total number of wounded soldiers, people enjoying policies like wounded soldiers, sick soldiers in Hanoi City.

Gift level 12,000,000 VND/unit (including gift bags of 2,000,000 VND, cash 10,000,000 VND): City Cemetery Management Board (Nhon Martyrs Cemetery Management Board, Ngoc Hoi Martyrs Cemetery Management Board, Mai Dich Cemetery Management Board).

Gift level of 12,000,000 VND/gift (including gift bags of 2,000,000 VND, cash of 10,000,000 VND): Typical families of people with meritorious services (each commune and ward selects 2 families) are typical individuals visited by the City leadership delegation to give gifts or authorize commune and ward leaders to visit and give gifts, including: families of martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, typical resistance war activists infected with chemical toxins.
