Prime Minister Le Minh Hung offers incense and visits wounded soldiers in Lang Son

The activity takes place during the Prime Minister's working trip to Lang Son, towards the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026).

At Lang Son Martyrs' Cemetery, Tam Thanh ward, Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and members of the working delegation offered flowers, incense and observed a minute of silence, remembering those who fought, contributed, and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.

The cemetery is currently the resting place of 488 heroic martyrs who sacrificed during the resistance wars, construction and defense of the Fatherland.

According to statistics by the end of May 2026, the total number of martyrs who died and were initially buried in Lang Son was 4,861 people.

The whole province has 12 martyrs' cemeteries with 2,983 graves, including 472 graves with sufficient information, 1,135 graves with partial information, 990 graves without information and 386 graves that have been moved.

Lang Son is implementing the 500 days and nights Campaign to promote the search, repatriation and identification of martyrs' remains.

However, this work still faces many difficulties due to elderly witnesses, lost records and terrain and artifacts in many areas that have changed over time.

After the incense offering ceremony, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and the working delegation visited and presented gifts to Mr. Vy Van Nuoc, born in 1948, a wounded soldier with a body injury rate of 42%, living in block 8, Dong Kinh ward.

Cordially inquiring about the health and life of Mr. Nuoc and his family, the Prime Minister affirmed that the Party, State and people always cherish and appreciate the contributions and sacrifices of heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers and people with meritorious services to the revolution.

The Prime Minister hopes that Mr. Vy Van Nuoc and his relatives will always be healthy, continue to promote revolutionary traditions, set an example for the younger generation; and actively mobilize people to well implement the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State.

The Head of Government requested all levels, sectors and localities to continue to promote the tradition of "gratitude", the morality of "drinking water, remembering the source"; pay more practical attention to material and spiritual life and fully and promptly implement policies for people with meritorious services.

On the same day, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung also worked with the Standing Committee of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee on implementing socio-economic development tasks and the "double-digit" growth target, disbursing public investment capital.
