Funeral procession of martyrs' remains just found at Le Thi Rieng Park
Ho Chi Minh City - Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and delegates held a ceremony to exhume the remains of martyrs just found at Le Thi Rieng Park.
On the morning of July 6, the Steering Committee for searching, repatriating and identifying martyrs' remains of Ho Chi Minh City organized a ceremony to deploy the search and repatriation of martyrs' remains at Le Thi Rieng Park (Hoa Hung ward, Ho Chi Minh City). Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung attended the ceremony and delivered a directing speech.
After the ceremony, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and delegates respectfully performed the funeral ceremony for the remains of martyrs just found during the excavation at Le Thi Rieng Park.
The ceremony was held in a solemn atmosphere, expressing gratitude and deep appreciation to the heroic martyrs who bravely sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.







After two days of excavation and exploration in point A of Le Thi Rieng Park, functional forces discovered a mass grave trench about 25m long and about 3m wide. Initially, the units have collected 5 sets of remains and many artifacts such as soldier tank panels and related artifacts.

This result confirms the accuracy of the survey process, verifying information from historical records, witnesses and modern scientific methods, and at the same time opens up hope to continue to find more martyrs still resting in the area that used to be Do Thanh Cemetery.
