Lam Dong Provincial People's Council approves 24 important resolutions on local development resources

On June 30, the 11th Lam Dong Provincial People's Council, term 2026 - 2031, opened its 4th session.

Attending the meeting were Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Ho Van Muoi - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Mr. Luu Van Trung - Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, along with leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province.

At the session, the Provincial People's Council considered, discussed and passed 24 important resolutions, focusing on major groups of issues such as mechanisms and policies for socio-economic development.

Along with that is the management and use of budget, public assets; land, resources; improving the investment and business environment; and social security policies associated with people's lives.

These are resolutions with a wide scope of impact, contributing to promoting socio-economic development; improving the effectiveness of state management and ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of people and businesses.

In the working program, the Provincial People's Council spent time assessing the socio-economic situation, national defense - security; budget revenue and expenditure; disbursement of public investment in the first 6 months of 2026, and at the same time identified tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of the year.

The session also conducted questioning and answering questions and implemented personnel work according to its authority.

The meeting is broadcast live, helping voters and people to follow and supervise, contributing to enhancing publicity and transparency in the activities of the Provincial People's Council.

Speaking at the opening, Chairman of the People's Council of Lam Dong province Luu Van Trung emphasized that this is a session of special significance, both a mid-year session and the first session of the 2026 - 2031 term; and also marks 1 year of operating the 2-level local government model after arranging administrative units.

Chairman of the People's Council of Lam Dong province Luu Van Trung said that in the context of the whole country promoting strategic orientations, Lam Dong needs to continue to effectively exploit new development space, promote administrative reform, digital transformation and improve the investment environment.

According to assessments, in the first 6 months of 2026, the province's socio-economy maintained positive growth momentum; high-tech agriculture, tourism and services continued to be important drivers; social security, education, and healthcare were concerned; national defense and security were maintained.

After 1 year of implementing the 2-level local government model, the apparatus has gradually stabilized, decentralization - delegation of power has been promoted, and the effectiveness of state management has been improved.

Besides the achieved results, the province still has shortcomings such as the slow progress of some projects, disbursement of public investment not meeting expectations, administrative reform and digital transformation need to continue to improve.

Leaders of the Provincial People's Council requested delegates to promote the spirit of responsibility, democratic discussion, and ensure that resolutions after promulgation soon go into life.

Leaders of the Provincial People's Council believe that the session will be successful, creating a foundation for Lam Dong to develop quickly, greenly and sustainably in the coming time.
