Hai Duong establishes a Steering Committee for administrative unit arrangement
Hai Duong - The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a Decision to establish a Steering Committee for the reorganization of administrative units at district and commune levels.
According to the Decision, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung - Vice Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee is the Head of the Committee. The Deputy Heads of the Committee include the Director of the Department of Home Affairs; Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office.
The members include leaders of departments and branches: Department of Agriculture and Environment; Justice; Finance; Construction; Culture, Sports and Tourism; Science and Technology; Education and Training; Health; Industry and Trade; Chief Inspector of the province; Representative of the Provincial Military Command; leaders of the Provincial Police; leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs and Chairman of the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities.
The Steering Committee is an inter-sectoral coordination organization with the function of assisting the Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee in directing and coordinating the resolution of important, inter-sectoral issues in the implementation of not organizing district-level administrative units and rearranging and reorganizing commune-level administrative units.
The Steering Committee is responsible for implementing preparations according to the Central Government's direction on the project to merge a number of provincial-level administrative units, not organize at the district level, continue to merge commune-level administrative units; propose to the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on the orientation of the plan to merge commune-level administrative units in accordance with local characteristics and the requirements of the Central Government.
Research and propose to the Provincial People's Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directions and solutions to solve important, inter-sectoral problems in the implementation of not organizing district-level administrative units and rearranging and reorganizing commune-level administrative units.
Assist the Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee to direct and urge departments, branches, sectors and district-level People's Committees in the implementation process, ensuring compliance with the Central regulations.
The Head of the Steering Committee is responsible for assigning specific tasks to the members of the Steering Committee.
