The continuation of faithful friendship

Within the framework of the State visit to Russia, on the afternoon of September 7 (local time), in Moscow, General Secretary and President To Lam received Chairman of the Communist Party of Russia Gennady Zyuganov, according to VNA.

At the reception, General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized that this State visit to Russia is a continuation of the loyal friendship and strategic trust between the two countries, promoting the results of previous generations, creating a new milestone of significance, bringing the relations between the two countries to a new level of comprehensiveness, depth and substance.

In the context of the world situation developing rapidly, complicatedly, and unpredictably, General Secretary and President To Lam wishes to strengthen solidarity and promote cooperation and mutual support to serve the goal of national development for peace, security, stability and progress of humanity.

Emphasizing to continue to exchange and share experiences between strategic advisory agencies of the two Parties, General Secretary and President To Lam expressed that Vietnam is making efforts with the goal of completing the Museum of the Communist Party of Vietnam by 2030 towards the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and hopes to continue to receive support from Russia in exploiting documents about Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh... currently stored in museums and archival agencies of Russia.

General Secretary and President To Lam requested the two sides to actively support the cooperative relationship between mass organizations of the two Parties, in which, special attention should be paid to the Youth Union so that the young generation of the two countries can continue and promote the tradition of relations between the two countries and the two Parties; political and ideological education for youth in the digital age.

Chairman of the Communist Party of Russia Gennady Zyuganov emphasized that the two sides continue to promote and deepen the Agreements between the two Parties, contributing to further strengthening the traditional friendship and good cooperation between the people of the two countries; agreed to actively support and promote relations between Youth Union organizations, with the aim of encouraging the young generation of the two countries to promote the good tradition of relations between the two countries.

The young generation will write new chapters in Vietnam-Russia relations

On the same day, General Secretary and President To Lam received a delegation of the Russian Veterans Association and the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association led by Mr. Vladimir Petrovich Buyanov, Chairman of the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association.

Mr. Vladimir Petrovich Buyanov said that with the participation of the young generation, the tradition of solidarity, the close and intimate relationship between the two countries will continue to be maintained and constantly develop. The Vietnamese Embassy in Russia has always actively helped the activities of both associations; at the same time, the Vietnamese community in Moscow and other organizations have also supported the implementation of many meaningful activities.

General Secretary and President To Lam highly appreciated the activities of the Veterans Association and the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association, respecting the members who have had many initiatives and implemented many practical activities in the past time, notably the meetings of former Soviet military experts, exchange activities between veterans of the two countries, painting and photo contests about the country and people of Vietnam and Russia for children.

General Secretary and President To Lam affirmed that the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam will continue to support and create favorable conditions for the Associations to promote their roles; and at the same time requested members of the Russian Veterans Association and the Russian-Vietnamese Friendship Association to continue to work with people's organizations of the two countries to promote the role of a bridge, connecting people-to-people diplomacy; especially to study practical forms of connection suitable for young people - the force that will directly inherit and write new chapters in Vietnam-Russia relations, and propose new approaches to create new areas of cooperation suitable to the development requirements of each country.
