The Prime Minister requested a thorough solution to the problem of data "correct, sufficient, clean, living, unified, shared" right from the source, breaking the mindset of "relying on data".

On January 12, at the Government headquarters, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh - Head of the National Steering Committee for Data, chaired the first meeting of the Steering Committee.

Speaking at the opening session, the Prime Minister emphasized the important role of data; building a database is an important and meaningful task.

The Prime Minister stated that the meeting was held with a spirit of both urgency and determination in response to the urgent requirements of the country.

The Party, State and Government have identified a growth target of 10% or more in the coming time to create position, create momentum, create strength, create confidence, create a foundation to steadily lead the country into a new era of prosperity, civilization, prosperity and happiness.

To realize that great aspiration, it is necessary to quickly unblock and thoroughly and effectively exploit new growth drivers such as the digital economy, green economy, circular economy... especially data, artificial intelligence, data economy, the Politburo and the General Secretary are very interested in this issue.

In recent times, the Government and the Prime Minister have focused on directing ministries, branches and localities to resolutely implement Resolution No. 57; have achieved many positive results in data development, along with the breakthrough in digital transformation and the wave of artificial intelligence spreading widely.

Many economic experts believe that this is the golden time for Vietnam to make a breakthrough in the data field. If data governance is effectively combined with the power of artificial intelligence, this field can generate 80 billion USD in revenue by 2030. This affirms that data is truly an important sector of the economy, a new growth driver.

To achieve good results at the meeting, the Prime Minister requested delegates to focus on discussing, analyzing and answering the questions: How to effectively and thoroughly solve the problem of data "correct, sufficient, clean, living, unified, shared" right from the source? How to break the mindset of "relying on data" and implementing real and effective connection and sharing?

How to balance data opening and personal data protection, national security protection? How to form and develop the data market and how to evaluate data scientifically and accurately? What is the operating model of the Database to both develop and control risks?

The Prime Minister also raised the issue, what strategies to form, build and develop autonomous artificial intelligence with Vietnamese identity and knowledge? How to mobilize a huge source of Vietnamese data (such as culture, art, history, geography, law, etc.) to develop autonomous artificial intelligence of Vietnamese people for Vietnamese people? What is the problem of developing the computing and energy infrastructure for the Data Center with super servers?

Along with that, why are there still some national and specialized databases with slow implementation progress, not yet complete digitization, data centering and data centering at the Central level? What strong solutions should be implemented to end the construction of national and specialized databases in the form of different technologies and standards in each place?
