Dak Lak extends house rental and travel support for officials after merger
Dak Lak - The province has extended housing and travel support for officials, civil servants, public employees and workers after arranging administrative units from 12 months to 24 months.
On July 6, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Council said that the unit had just passed a resolution amending Clause 1, Article 4 of Resolution No. 02/2025/NQ-HDND, extending the time to support travel expenses and rent for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers to work at the provincial administrative center and commune level after arranging administrative units from 12 months to 24 months.
According to research, after nearly 1 year of implementing Resolution No. 02/2025/NQ-HĐND, it has brought positive effects, showing the province's concern for the lives of cadres, civil servants, and public employees after the merger of the province. The policy has contributed to helping many cadres stabilize their accommodation, working environment and feel secure in performing their duties.
However, the 12-month support period only meets the initial stable needs, while most officials, civil servants, and public employees still have to rent houses in the new administrative center and face many difficulties in living expenses. After the policy ended, many people have not really stabilized their lives.
According to the recently passed resolution, cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees who come to work at provincial or commune-level administrative centers after arrangement will be supported with travel expenses and house rent for 24 months from the date of the transfer and assignment decision.
In case the actual working time is less than 24 months, support is only provided according to the actual working time.
Mr. Truong Cong Thai - Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee informed that the policy amendment aims to ensure continuity and stability in the process of implementing the policy of arranging administrative units, and at the same time create conditions for cadres, civil servants, and public employees to feel secure in their workplaces.
The new policy is expected to continue to remove difficulties in housing and travel costs for the contingent of officials after arranging administrative units, contributing to stabilizing the organizational structure and improving the operational efficiency of local authorities in the new period.
Currently, the level of support for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers coming to work at the Dak Lak provincial administrative center according to the Project on arranging provincial-level administrative units between Dak Lak and Phu Yen is regulated as follows:
Travel expense support: 2,000,000 VND/person/month.
House rent support: 3,000,000 VND/person/month.
One-time support: 2,000,000 VND/person.
