Huu Nghi Border Gate temporarily closed to welcome high-level foreign affairs events
Lang Son - All import-export and entry activities at Huu Nghi Border Gate will be temporarily suspended to serve the Vietnam - China defense exchange.
On April 14, informing Lao Dong reporter, the Management Board of Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone said that the unit had just announced the adjustment of customs clearance time, temporarily suspending some import-export activities at Huu Nghi international border gate from April 15-17, 2025.
The suspension of operations was carried out at a coordination proposal from the People's Government of Muong Tuong City, Guangxi, China and was agreed by both sides to ensure security and order for this important defense and foreign affairs program.
According to the announcement of the Management Board, during the 3 days from April 15 to 17, entry and exit activities at the customs clearance of land use areas at 1116-1117 and import and export of goods via specialized routes in the land use areas at 1119-1120 will be temporarily suspended according to specific time frames.
In addition, vehicles not carrying goods will not be allowed to travel through the customs clearance of landmark 1116-1117 from 7:00 a.m. on April 14 to 2:00 p.m. on April 17. However, traffic is still allowed through the specialized road in the 1119-1120 mark.
To support traffic activities after the interruption, the customs clearance time will be extended to 20:00 at the specialized road (line 1119-1110) and to 21:00 at the customs clearance of the 1116-1117 mark.
The Management Board also requested relevant departments, branches and units such as the Department of Construction, the Border Guard Command, the Customs Branch, quarantine agencies... to closely coordinate with the Chinese authorities to organize the control and regulation of import-export activities flexibly, minimizing the impact on businesses and people.
At the same time, it is required to promote propaganda and timely information to organizations, individuals and businesses operating in the border gate area to proactively adjust trade and transportation plans accordingly during the program.
