The work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation at the Government Party Committee is increasingly deepening

On July 16, Politburo Member, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc - Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Protecting the Ideological Foundation of the Party, Combating and Refuting False and Hostile Points of View (Steering Committee 35) of the Central Government, Head of Steering Committee 35 of the Government Party Committee attended the working session of the Inspection Delegation of Steering Committee 35 of the Central Government with the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee.

At the working session, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Ngo Dong Hai said that, implementing Plan No. 06-KH/BCĐTW of the Central Steering Committee 35, the Delegation worked with the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Steering Committee 35 of Party committees: Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Construction, ensuring the correct program, content, and requirements of the plan. Through that, recognizing the results, good and creative ways of doing things and discovering the remaining problems, inadequacies, and shortcomings, unifying a number of major orientations on the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the coming time.

The inspection team assessed that the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee and the Steering Committee 35 of the Government Party Committee have paid attention to leading, directing, and comprehensively organizing the implementation of tasks to protect the Party's ideological foundation, and fight against wrong and hostile views. This work has gradually become deeper and more substantive, achieving many positive results.

The work of researching and thoroughly grasping the resolutions, conclusions, and regulations of the Politburo and the Secretariat on protecting the Party's ideological foundation has been seriously and synchronously implemented; and has been concretized by programs, plans, and implementation guidelines.

The coordination between forces in providing and exchanging information, resolving unexpected issues is increasingly close and effective. The Standing Agency of Steering Committee 35 of the Government Party Committee has proactively and regularly exchanged with the Office of Steering Committee 35 Central and functional units of ministries and branches; coordinated to support the review and supervision of the spread of related information, regularly scanned, detected and promptly handled distorted and sabotage information.

The work of directing, coordinating, monitoring, and supervising information on social networks, newspapers, forums, and channels of reflection of ministries, branches, and affiliated enterprises, especially cases arising related to issues such as policy communication, the process of streamlining the apparatus of the political system, and the operation of the 3-level government, is concerned.

Information and propaganda work on the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, thematic resolutions of the Politburo, and the results of the Government's and ministries and sectors' political tasks have been actively implemented, contributing to spreading positive information and creating consensus among cadres, party members and people.

The Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee continues to direct the implementation of regulations on speaking and providing information to the press of state administrative agencies. On that basis, Party committees of ministries and sectors have reviewed, amended, supplemented, and promulgated regulations on speaking and providing information in accordance with the functions and tasks of each agency; proactively providing official and timely information, contributing to limiting information gaps and improving the effectiveness of protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the new situation.

Speaking at the conclusion of the working session, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc said that the inspection and guidance work of the Inspection Delegation of the 35th Central Steering Committee contributes to helping the Government Party Committee and the 35th Steering Committee of the Government Party Committee continue to better perform the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against wrong and hostile views.

Based on the conclusions of the Inspection Team, the Government Party Committee will continue to concretize tasks and solutions, direct directly affiliated Party committees to organize serious implementation to improve the effectiveness of the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation.

According to the Standing Deputy Prime Minister, the most important issue is still awareness. To effectively implement the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, directly affiliated Party committees need to continue to consolidate their organizations, enhance the role of heads and build a contingent of advisors and assistants with sufficient capacity to meet task requirements.

Regarding policy communication, the Standing Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that this is a particularly important task, which has been directed many times by the Government Party Committee and Government leaders. Over the past time, ministries, branches, and localities have strengthened coordination, proactively provided information, and effectively handled many issues of public concern, contributing to creating social consensus.

The Standing Deputy Prime Minister requested that policy communication work must be implemented right from the process of building, promulgating and organizing policy implementation, ensuring that people, businesses and affected subjects understand the Party and State's guidelines and regulations correctly. Communication must go one step ahead to proactively orient public opinion, not create information gaps, and not let hostile forces take advantage of distortions and sabotage.

The Standing Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized the requirement to strengthen coordination between forces in performing the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, and continue to promote comprehensive strength.

The Standing Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the Government Party Committee will seriously absorb the conclusions of the Inspection Delegation, proactively organize and well implement the assigned tasks in the new context, when the requirements for protecting the Party's ideological foundation are increasing; closely coordinate and promote the overall strength of the Government Party Committee, ministries, branches, Party committees at all levels, Party organizations and the entire political system.
