Can Tho enrolls 60 - 70% of students in public grade 10
Can Tho - Students can register up to 5 wishes, including Ly Tu Trong High School for the Gifted and other public high schools in the area.
On March 18, Vice Chairwoman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep signed and issued a Decision approving the Admissions Plan for grade 10 high school (high school) for the 2025-2026 school year.
Accordingly, the entrance exam for grade 10 public high school in Can Tho will be organized according to the entrance exam method. Public schools enroll 60 - 70% of students who have graduated from junior high school in districts and towns in the area and are of the prescribed age.
Students who have graduated from junior high school at junior high schools and high schools with many levels of education (with junior high school level) in the area can register for a maximum of 5 wishes (NV). In which, NV1 is Ly Tu Trong High School for the Gifted.
For NV2, students can only choose one of two ways to register: NV2a is the first public high school in the district where the student has graduated from junior high school or Can Tho University's Pedagogical practice high school; NV2b is any public high school in the city.
NV3 is the second public high school in the district where students have graduated from junior high school (not overlapping with NV2) or the National Pedagogical practice High School under Can Tho University.
NV4 is the first public high school in the city (not overlapping with NV2,3). NV5 is the second public high school in the city (not overlapping with NV2,3,4).
For border areas between localities, candidates registering for NV by locality are applied flexibly and reasonably according to the principle of creating favorable conditions for students to travel to participate in studying.
Candidates will take the exam in three subjects: Math, Literature and Foreign Language (English or French). The two subjects of Math and Foreign Language will be tested in the form of objective multiple-choice tests combined with essay, on June 5, 2025. Literature will be competed in the form of an essay, on June 6, 2025.
The admission score is the total score of the three subjects with additional points for priority and incentive subjects (if any).
Admission to grade 10 Ly Tu Trong High School for the Gifted is conducted by entrance exam and examination at the same time as the entrance exam to grade 10 of public high schools.
Candidates can only register to take the exam for one of the specialized classes: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography, English, French. The specialized subjects will be tested on June 7, 2025.
