Ca Mau adjusts the progress of Tan Thuan Wind Power Plant Project - phase 3
Ca Mau The 25MW wind power project in Tan Thuan commune has been adjusted in progress, expected to be put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2026.
On June 22, the Office of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province said that the Provincial People's Committee approved the adjustment of the investment policy for the Tan Thuan Wind Power Plant Project - phase 3 in Tan Thuan commune.
According to the decision, the progress of investment preparation and project construction will be implemented from the first quarter of 2022 to the third quarter of 2025; legal procedures and commencement in the fourth quarter of 2025. The operating time for production, business and service provision will be adjusted to the fourth quarter of 2026.

Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee requests the investor to complete relevant procedures, implement the project in accordance with the objectives, scale, location and approved progress; comply with the provisions of law on investment, land, construction, environmental protection, labor and fire prevention and fighting.
At the same time, assigning the Department of Finance to take the lead in monitoring, inspecting, and supervising the project implementation process; the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Construction, Provincial Tax Department, Provincial Police, Tan Thuan Commune People's Committee and related units to perform state management functions, guide and supervise the project implementation according to regulations.
Previously, on October 14, 2025, Ca Mau Renewable Energy Investment Joint Stock Company held the groundbreaking ceremony of the Tan Thuan Wind Power Plant Project - phase 3 in Tan Thuan commune, Ca Mau province.
The project has a total capacity of 25MW, including 4 offshore wind turbines with a capacity of 6.25MW each, along with a submarine cable system, connection lines and synchronous technical infrastructure. When completed and put into operation, the project is expected to supply about 61.5 million kWh of electricity per year to the national grid.
