Hanoi - According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, more than 2 million officials, civil servants, public employees and armed forces will receive a salary increase of 8% from July 1. 2026.

On the morning of July 9, the Ministry of Home Affairs organized a preliminary review of the work in the first 6 months of the year and deployed key tasks for the last 6 months of 2026 of the Home Affairs sector.

Specifically, from July 1, 2026, more than 2 million officials, civil servants, public employees and armed forces will have their salaries increased by an additional 8% compared to June 30, 2026 (increasing the basic salary from 2.34 million VND/month to 2.53 million VND/month). The regional minimum wage is adjusted to increase by an average of 7.2% from January 1, 2026.

Along with more than 2 million cadres, civil servants, public employees and armed forces having their salaries increased from July 1, more than 45% of communes and wards have received regional allowances, and more than 4.7% of communes and wards have received special allowances after arranging and organizing the 2-level local government model.
