Journey connecting love of the Golden Heart Fund in Nghe An
Nghe An - In recent years, the Golden Heart Fund - Lao Dong Newspaper has extended its journey of love and sharing with people and workers in difficult circumstances.
Projects sowing seeds of hope
At Lang Cau school point, Giai Lac commune, Nghe An province, the sound of students reading lessons echoes in solid, spacious classrooms.
Previously, the school point belonged to Lang Thanh Primary School, Yen Thanh district (old), with a class 4 classroom building built nearly 40 years ago, seriously degraded. Since 2000, the school has proposed building a new classroom, but local resources are limited.
Faced with those difficulties, the Golden Heart Charity Fund - Lao Dong Newspaper has connected Petrolimex Asphalt Co., Ltd. to support 300 million VND to build the project.
On April 28, 2025, three new classrooms with a total investment of 1.5 billion VND were officially handed over. In addition to funding through the Fund, the remaining funding is mobilized from other legal sources.
The business also donated a 55-inch TV worth 12 million VND to the school along with many gifts for students.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Tin - former Principal of Lang Thanh Primary School, now Vice Principal of Giai Lac 2 Primary School - shared that the most meaningful thing is that students have a better learning environment, and teachers are assured to teach.
This is one of the highlights of the Golden Heart Fund in Nghe An. Previously, in April 2022, the Fund continued to coordinate with Vietcombank to award 500 pairs of lifebuoys to Nghe An students, contributing to preventing drowning accidents.
Sharing with difficult lives
Not only supporting education, the Golden Heart Fund is also a bridge to bring the joint efforts of businesses, philanthropists and readers to families in distress.
In July 2025, after the heavy rain and floods in western Nghe An, the Fund coordinated with Petrolimex Asphalt Co., Ltd. to organize the presentation of 100 gifts to people in Muong Xen commune.
Each gift includes cash and necessities, with a total value of 65 million VND. Along with that, 100 warm blankets worth 38 million VND from philanthropists were also handed over to the people. The total value of the program reached 103 million VND.
Previously, in 2017, the Fund coordinated with Rang Dong Light Source & Vacuum Flask Joint Stock Company and the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation to present 1,000 gifts, worth a total of 128 million VND, to support people in storm and flood areas in Nghi Loc district (old).
In particular, the Fund always pays attention to workers and laborers who unfortunately have accidents or suffer from occupational diseases.
At the end of 2023, in the face of the circumstances of workers suffering from silica pneumonia related to Chau Tien Co., Ltd., the Fund supported a total of 70 million VND for 9 cases.
In which, relatives of 5 deceased workers are supported with 10 million VND/case; 4 workers with illnesses being treated are supported with 5 million VND/person.
The Fund also donated 10 million VND to the family of female worker Ha Thi Hieu in Que Phong district (old) and supported many other worker families who suffered labor accidents.
In September 2022, when three children in Nghe An suddenly lost both parents due to floods, the Fund supported 20 million VND, contributing to helping them overcome the loss.
In addition to focused gift-giving programs, the activity of connecting readers through the "Life Scenes" column of Lao Dong Newspaper is still maintained.
Just counting the amounts recorded in January, March, May and July 2026, the Fund has made 8 money transfers, totaling more than 29.5 million VND, supporting 5 difficult circumstances in Nghe An.
From new classrooms, gifts from flood-affected areas to sharing with workers suffering from critical illnesses, the journey of the Golden Heart Fund - Lao Dong Newspaper in Nghe An has left an impression with specific actions, spreading the spirit of mutual affection and love in the community.
