Hanoi - Petrovietnam Trade Union exceeded the target of developing union members, reaching a rate of 283%.
On the afternoon of January 23, Petrovietnam Trade Union held a conference to summarize Trade Union activities in 2025, deploy tasks for 2026 and launch a movement to compete to successfully implement the Resolution of the 8th Congress of the Group's Trade Union.
Attending and giving a speech were Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) Nguyen Xuan Hung and representatives of the group's leaders.
According to the report, one of the highlights was the development of 1,416/500 union members, exceeding the assigned target, reaching a rate of 283%; introducing 758 outstanding union members for consideration of training and 406 outstanding union members admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam. In addition, 100% of grassroots trade unions in the enterprise sector and state-owned units participate with employers in promulgating and implementing grassroots democracy regulations.
One of the tasks for 2026 that Petrovietnam has set out is to continue to improve the quality and effectiveness of representation, care for and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, especially paying attention to low-income workers, female workers, and special workers; effectively implement practical welfare programs such as "Petrovietnam: Spring of Connection - Lunar New Year", Trade Union Shelter, Workers' Month, Petrovietnam Cultural Week... to develop and maintain cultural and sports facilities among workers, contributing to improving material and spiritual life, improving health, creating an active, cohesive and creative working environment for workers.
Trade unions at all levels maintain dialogue, collective bargaining, organizing labor conferences, signing, supplementing and adjusting Collective Labor Agreements in accordance with reality, improving the rights of union members and workers compared to legal regulations, while contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
Speaking at the Conference, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung highly appreciated the role of union members and workers in the group, and affirmed that this is also the pride of each union member and employee.
